THE PROBLEM:

Your phone is ringing off the hook and debt collection letters are filling up your mailbox.  Most of those letters and calls are coming from some company calling itself SRA Associates Inc..

WHO IS SRA ASSOCIATES INC.?:

SRA Associates Inc. is an infamous debt collection agency.  According to SRA Associates Inc.,

The core focus and backbone of the organization is split between two main divisions; The Loan Division and the Retail Bankcard Division. The Loan Division services charged off secured and unsecured asset based loans specializing in the real estate mortgage and home equity markets, automobile and recreational vehicle markets as well as consumer/commercial deficiency balance and end of term leased asset markets. The Retail Bankcard Division is made up of consumer/commercial charge card accounts, retail lines of credit, private label credit card accounts and DDA overdraft checking accounts.

Debt collection agencies like SRA Associates Inc. collect consumer debts for banks, credit card companies, hospitals, doctors, cell phone companies and car companies.

SRA Associates Inc. regularly makes debt collection phone calls from (800) 735-0552 and is located at:

401 Minnetonka Road
Hi-Nella, New Jersey 08083

SRA Associates Inc. is a notorious violator of federal debt collection laws known as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and is sued regularly by consumers for these violations.  The FDCPA is a federal law that regulates the collection of consumer debts. It precludes third party debt collectors from using false, misleading, deceptive and harassing debt collection tactics.

THE PROBLEM WITH SRA ASSOCIATES INC. :

To comply with the FDCPA, SRA Associates Inc., and other debt collection agencies must refrain from using false, deceptive or misleading debt collection tactics.  However, debt collectors working for debt collection agencies like SRA Associates Inc. are generally unsophisticated and motivated by commissions and monetary rewards.  For this reason, debt collectors often cross the line and violate the FDCPA.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:

If SRA Associates Inc. is harassing you in the collection of a debt, consider consulting with a qualified attorney experienced with the FDCPA.

If a debt collection agency violates the FDCPA, you can sue for statutory damages up to $1,000.00 plus actual damages (like pain and suffering) and your attorney’s fees.  In FDCPA cases, a good consumer lawyer won’t charge clients a penny out of pocket.
